"Popologetics" is released. And the first review!

Hey All,

Popologetics was released on May 7th in the States (but for some reason, some sellers on amazon.com were already selling it as a "used-like new" book...on the day it was released). Anyway, it's available. My publisher told me it should be available as an e-book in a week or two.

By the way, theo-blogger Aimee Byrd has the honor of being the first to review my book. It's dated May 4th, so I'm not sure how she read all 368 pages of it that fast (she must be an uber-fast reader). But I think it's a fair and balanced review. I just received your book from P&R to do a review on my blog. After just reading the introduction and flipping through the chapters, I can tell I'm going to really like it. Actually, I could have just told that from noting where you graduated from and that you approvingly cite Chuck Klosterman in your introduction. We share a slightly similar position (I will be teaching 9-11th grade bible and apologetics in the fall at a private Christian high school) and research interests (I wrote my Th.M thesis on a Reformed philosophy of film using Calvin, Van Til, Frame and a sprinkling of Klosterman) Really looking forward to digging in and may end up using your book as a text in my class! Getting hold of the book!

Hi Ted, I'm really looking forward to reading your new book 'Popologetics, but can't seem to get hold of it from any UK sellers, as they say it's temporarily out of stock. Just checking - has it been released in the UK as well now, or is it yet to be released? Thanks! Ben Wells

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your interest! I don't know why amazon.co.uk doesn't have it in stock yet. But I believe The Book Depository has it. And I'll be at European Leadership Forum this year, and I'm bringing 30 copies with me. Maybe I'll see you there.

It takes about 1 1/2 months for a physical book to get across the Atlantic and be on stock in the UK. That might seem a long time but if you have ever shipped stuff by container you'll understand. IVP-UK should have it available in mid July. From there it will get onto Amazon.co.uk
